Miss Global's first Queen, Emily Kiss from Canada, was crowned in 2013. Since then she has dedicated much of her time to work for the mission of the Miss Global Organization. Her passion is philanthropy, and she is excited to be a part of the Miss Global Foundation family, and the recipient of the Halo Award.
As the very first Miss Global, I am honored to have been chosen to represent an organization that is both progressive and philanthropic. I am passionate about promoting the Miss Global ideology that allows a more diverse range of women the opportunity to showcase the true beauty and essence of womanhood.
Before I became Miss Global, I had the privilege of meeting a dynamic group of women. During pre-pageant week, each of them represented their countries with pride and intelligence. Spending the week with them in LA was a wonderful experience and I treasure the newfound friendships I have gained that span across the globe.
It is an incredible feeling to know that I am the first of many more Miss Globals to follow. With this knowledge, I feel a strong sense of responsibility to begin an altruistic legacy and set an example for the Miss Globals of the future. As I begin this exciting new journey, I hope to inspire others to seek out charitable organizations and causes that they feel a special connection with and contribute to them. Whether it is volunteering personal time or making financial contributions, there are unlimited ways one can make a difference and unimaginable ways life can be enriched. I am passionate about becoming an ambassador for the Global Angels Foundation and look forward to my travels promoting the cause.
Thank you to my friends and family for your love and support, Fabricio Loza Alvarado for introducing me to the world of pageants many years ago, Pablita Thomas from UBCanada for choosing me as the Canadian representative for Miss Global, the Miss Global Organization for this amazing opportunity and to God for every day and every blessing in this life.
